Deep Cuts: Emergence is planned to be an album of 18 of Marilyn Walker's best songs that have not yet been released. "Deep cuts" in the music industry refer to songs at the end of the album, which may get overlooked in this time of streaming and short attention spans. I've got so many more songs than I can possibly record in the studio that I'm trying something different and experimental. What if I did a live show of the songs that I want to record but have not yet been able to fit in, all in one night, and recorded in a way that we might just get lucky and be able to put it out as an album? These are 18 songs that I stand behind.
