Ages 18+, beginner to advanced players
Open to individuals or bands
Players will:
- Receive instruction in their instrument of choice
- Write originals, work on covers, or just jam
- Play in a state-of-the-art showcase studio
- Get booking assistance in local venues
Curriculum
Under the direction of our professional musical staff, players will receive instruction in the instrument of their choice. Popular choices are guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keyboards, but we have accommodated instruments ranging from saxophone to electric violin. Then, players will get together to write original songs, play covers, or just jam in our fully-equipped rehearsal studios. After four evening sessions (Mondays, 7-10 pm), players will have the opportunity to play a live show for family and friends in DHM's showcase studio, featuring a 30x15 soundstage, 1100 watt PA system, and full concert lighting. Players will receive a CD of their live show, plus ongoing booking assistance through DHM's extensive contact network.
